and my classes
I have 10 years of experience teaching wellness and fitness classes. I teach Christ-centered classes for a wide range of abilities and purposes including spiritual health and trauma-sensitive recovery. I’ve taught in barns and on the beach, in fitness centers and churches, in city parks and college campuses.
My qualifications include 500-hour yoga certification, Yogalates certification, and Yoga for Trauma certification. I love to bring counsel, mentoring, and spiritual alignment to individuals or groups that truly seek wholeness in Christ.

Root to Rise classes are Christ-centered yoga classes! With scripture reading, prayer, Biblical meditation, and Christian worship music, these classes have all the health benefits of a yoga-style fitness class at the local gym, but without any of the Eastern spirituality.
I have found Root to Rise Ministries to be one of many “tools in my toolbox” to lead not only my physical body but also my mind in worship to the one true God on the yoga mat. I can say with 100% certainty, God has met me here multiple times – personally and in the context of community with others who also crave to just simply be in the presence of the Lord. – it’s a wonderful combo!
